Lavage Laundry, Inc. (“Lavage,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates lavagelaundry.com and the Lavage mobile applications (the “Service”). This page explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By using the Service you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. We do not sell personal information.
1. Information we collect
You provide directly
- Account: name, email, phone number, password (hashed), city, role (customer / cleaner / driver).
- Addresses: pickup and delivery addresses you save on your account.
- Orders: service type, item counts, weight, special-care notes, photos taken during intake or delivery.
- Payments: processed by Stripe. We store the last 4 digits of your card and a Stripe customer ID — never the full number, never the CVC.
- Communications: messages you send through in-app chat, email replies, support tickets.
Collected automatically
- Usage: pages visited, features used, approximate time on page.
- Device: browser type, operating system, IP address, device identifiers (mobile only).
- Location: approximate location from IP; precise location only when you grant permission for live driver tracking.
- Cookies & local storage: for authentication sessions and remembering preferences.
2. How we use information
- Operate the Service — match orders to cleaners and drivers, route pickups, process payments, send status updates.
- Communicate with you about your orders, account, and product updates you opt into.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and technical issues.
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. How we share information
- Other users on your order: the cleaner and driver assigned to your order can see your name, pickup address, and any notes.
- Service providers: Supabase (database + auth + file storage), Resend (email), Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting), Google (sign-in OAuth). Each is bound by their own privacy commitments.
- Legal: we may disclose information if required by valid legal process, to protect our rights, or to investigate fraud.
- Business transfers: if Lavage is acquired or merged, your information may transfer to the successor — subject to this policy.
We do not sell or rent personal information to third parties.
4. How we protect information
- All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest.
- Database access is gated by row-level security — users can only read their own data and data tied to their own orders.
- Access to production systems is limited to a small number of authorized employees.
- Photos are stored in private buckets accessible only to you and the parties on your order.
5. Your rights
You can:
- Access: view all your data via your account dashboard.
- Correct: update your profile, addresses, and preferences anytime.
- Delete: request account deletion by emailing privacy@lavagelaundry.com. We retain order records for tax and legal compliance for up to seven years; everything else is removed within 30 days.
- Export: request a portable copy of your data.
- Opt out: unsubscribe from marketing email at any time. Transactional emails about active orders cannot be disabled while orders are in progress.
6. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We'll notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect.
